Past Perfect Continuous

The past perfect continuous in English corresponds to the Spanish pluperfect in the indicative of the verb "to be" and the gerund is used. In general, we use it to share in-progress in the past before another action ocurrid

Form (Forma)

As in the present perfect continuous, past perfect continuous is formed with the auxiliary verb "to have", "been" and the gerund.

  Uses (Usos)

• We use the past perfect continuous for actions in the process of realization in the past before another action occurred. The past perfect continuous is used for action in the process and the simple past for action that interrupts the action processing. We mean something we have been doing over a period of time, therefore, we tend to use prepositions of time "for" and "since".
